"Pay As You Go" firing service
- We offer by-the-piece cone 06 bisque firing and cone 6 glaze firing for just $2.00/lb.
- If you would like to glaze your bisque using our studio glazes, we'll add on our Open Studio drop-in rate to cover your studio time (up to 4 hrs for $25).
- Just bring in your work during our open hours; no appointment necessary. We'll weigh your pieces, take down your contact info, and collect your payment on the spot.
- We accept credit card or cash payments for "Pay As You Go" firing, but please note that we do not have change available for cash payments.
Good to know
- Please allow about two weeks for your work to be fired. You can swing by during our open hours to check if your pieces have been fired yet.
- Please do not drop off or pick up work when we are closed for classes. You can always check our Calendar of Events before you swing by.
- We fire 4 to 6 kiln loads per week, but we cannot guarantee that pieces will be available by a particular date. Factors such as the moisture level of a piece and its size can affect how quickly it gets loaded into a kiln.
- If you would like pieces fired by a particular date, please leave a note with the date on your pieces. We can't guarantee that a piece will be fired by a certain date but we'll try our best to get it through in time!
- Clay or glazes brought in for firing must be rated to cones 5-6 (mid-range). Please note that cone 06 (about 1800 degrees F) is not the same temperature as cone 6 (about 2230 degrees F).
- We cannot fire cone 06-04 clay or glazes in our cone 6 glaze firings; they will melt!
