The Clay Center of New Orleans seeks applicants for “Less is More,” a juried group exhibition celebrating earthenware clay and low-fire surfacing and finishing techniques. This exhibition is open to ceramic vessels, sculptures, and wall-mounted works created in low-fire clay and finished with any manner of earthenware temperature surfacing and/or firing techniques (i.e. burnishing, terra sigillata, pit firing, or raku firing). Works made with low-fire wood, soda, or other less traditional low-fire techniques and/or firing methods are also eligible.
