- Open studio hours are available for purchase through our Corsizio registration site. They can be purchased on their own or in conjunction with one of our classes.
- Open studio hours are for working on your own clay pieces without instruction or assistance. If not purchased in conjunction with a concurrent class, open studio hours are best for individuals who already have some experience in clay and can work without direction.
- Open studio hours are available only to those registered in advanced through our registration site. We do not offer informal drop-in studio use or 24/7 studio access.
Format and Cost
- Open studio hours are sold as a monthly "pack" of a weekly 4-hour time slot (for example, Tuesdays from 2 to 6 pm or Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm). Click here to view our current open studio slots!
- The rate for a monthly pack of any given weekly slot is equal to $20 per week. For most months, the monthly rate for a given time slot will be $80 ($20 x 4 weeks in a month).
- Due to holiday closures, some months will have less than 4 sessions of a particular open studio time slot. If so, the rate for that month would be $20, $40, or $60, depending on the number of weeks the Clay Center will be open.
- Open studio hours include use of communal throwing and hand-building tools, bats/wareboards, and storage shelves.
- Open studio hours do NOT include clay or firing fees; these must be purchased separately. Firing fees are $20 per bag of clay, and a 25-lb bag of clay is $22 to $35, depending on the clay body. Clay and firing fees can be purchased during open studio hours from the Studio Monitor.
